In the mid 1980's, Motech was created as a consulting company by Fredrick Coffman, Phd. He served as a Physicist at the Stanford Linear Accelerator, where he developed networks and computer systems for controlling massive scientific experiments and participated in the development of the world's very first website www.slac.stanford.edu. He has provided technical expertise to many clients in the areas of computer system development and computer networking. These clients include Stanford University, California Department of Forestry, NASA, Sun Microsystems, Lucas Films.
